Craig Polasko


Craig Polasko is Michael's dexterous bass player. Noted for his serious demeanour on stage, off stage he can be less so. Chatting to fans, Craig has been known to cover all manner of topics, from art to history to classical music and a whole host of other cultural discussions along the way ...

Craig recently surprised fans during Michael's four-night residency at the Las Vegas Hilton in February, 2006, when he had the opportunity to showcase his vocals, albeit breifly, during "The More I See You". Craig's masterful bass playing is always sensational and on the "It's Time" tour he is probably best known for his bass solos in "Moondance", Fever" and "The More I See You". Best known for playing the double bass on stage, watch carefully the next time you see the Bublé band ... you may notice that Craig is just as adept on the bass guitar too.

Born on 19th August, 1977 in Connecticut, Craig is a graduate of Tufts University, Massachussets. Whilst at University, Craig performed on bass with fellow Tufts/New England Conservatory (NEC) students, Todd LaCompte (trumpet, guitar and vocals), JP Eliots (piano and keyboards) and Rob Sapien (drums) in their jazz band, "Monkey Hands".

After graduating from Tufts, Craig was selected from the Juilliard School of Music, New York, together with future Bublé band members, Frank Basile and Jumaane Smith, to be one of 18 instrumentalists to play in the inaugural Juilliard Jazz Orchestra and to study for a two-year tuition-free Jazz Studies program at the Juilliard Institute for Jazz Studies.

Under the direction of trumpet player, Darren Barrett, Craig has performed with the John Lamkin Quartet and has contributed compositions for the Boston-based Mela Monk Quartet and the New Millenium Group.

Musical talent certainly runs in the Polasko family as Craig's brother, Keith, is himself a talented singer-songwriter.
